Filin 100 mg Tablet contains aminophylline, a combination of theophylline and ethylenediamine. Theophylline relaxes bronchial smooth muscles by increasing intracellular cAMP levels through inhibiting phosphodiesterase, antagonizing adenosine receptors, antagonizing prostaglandins, and affecting intracellular calcium.

Oral Administration:
- Chronic bronchospasm:
- Adults: Initially 225-450 mg twice daily, may be increased if necessary.
- Children (>3 years): As modified-release hydrate: 12 mg/kg daily, increased to 24 mg/kg daily in 2 divided doses after 1 week.

Filin 100 mg Tablet should not be used in patients who are allergic to xanthine or ethylenediamine. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers due to its potential to increase the volume and acidity of gastric secretions.
