Frusemide (a loop diuretic) and Spironolactone (a potassium-sparing diuretic) have complementary mechanisms that result in enhanced diuretic efficacy.

Pregnancy: Spironolactone and its metabolites can cross the placenta. Furosemide has shown teratogenic potential in animal studies. Use is only advised when benefits outweigh potential risks, and effective contraception should be ensured in women of childbearing age.
Breastfeeding: Both Spironolactone and Furosemide pass into breast milk. Breastfeeding should be discontinued, or an alternative feeding method should be considered if treatment is essential.
Monitor electrolytes regularly, especially in patients prone to imbalances.
Use cautiously in individuals with diabetes, prostatic enlargement, low blood pressure, or reduced blood volume (hypovolemia).
Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
