✔️ Composition of Sanityza Clear Hand Rub
This preparation contains:
- Chlorhexidine Gluconate: 0.5% w/v (equivalent to 2.5% v/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate solution BP)
- Isopropyl Alcohol BP: 70% v/v
✔️ Dosage & Administration of Sanityza Clear Hand Rub
- Hand disinfection: Apply approximately 3 ml to the hands and scrub the entire surface area until dry.
- Instrument disinfection: Immerse instruments in approximately 5 ml of the solution for 2 minutes.
- Skin disinfection: Apply approximately 3 ml to the skin using cotton and scrub until dry.
- Wound disinfection: Apply approximately 3 ml to the wound area using cotton and scrub until dry.

Sanityza Clear Hand Rub is a rapid-acting, broad-spectrum microbicidal preparation designed for various disinfection purposes:
- Hand disinfection: For doctors, nurses, and other individuals before surgical procedures or after handling contaminated materials.
- Instrument disinfection: Used for disinfecting surgical instruments.
- Skin disinfection: Applied before surgery or other invasive procedures.
- Wound dressing disinfection: Used to disinfect wounds and wound dressings.

✔️ Pharmacology
At physiological pH, chlorhexidine salts dissociate, releasing the positively charged chlorhexidine cation. This cation binds to negatively charged bacterial cell walls:
- Low concentrations: Causes a bacteriostatic effect (inhibits bacterial growth).
- High concentrations: Disrupts cell membranes, leading to bacterial cell death.
