- Usual course: 7 days, may be continued up to 14 days based on infection severity.
- Adult and children over 12 years: 200-400 mg (1 to 2 capsules) daily, single or divided doses.
- Uncomplicated cervical/urethral gonococcal infections: Single oral dose of Cefixime 400 mg.
- Children (6 months or older): 8 mg/kg/day, single or divided doses.
- Dosage for typhoid fever: 10 mg/kg/day for 14 days.
- Not established for children under 6 months.
