✅ Description:
Vitamin D3: A fat-soluble sterol crucial for calcium and phosphate homeostasis and bone mineralization. It facilitates calcium absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and stimulates bone formation.
Vitamin D must be taken with adequate amounts of calcium and magnesium. Insufficient vitamin D and calcium can trigger the parathyroid gland to produce PTH (parathyroid hormone), increasing vitamin D hormone production and calcium mobilization from bones.

- Elderly: 1/2 ampoule every 3 months.

- Deficiency:
- General: 1 ampoule, repeatable after 1-6 months.

- Increased Hypercalcemia Risk: Thiazide diuretics, calcium, or phosphate.
- Increased Vitamin D Requirements: Antiepileptics (e.g., carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone).

- Counteracting Effects: Corticosteroids.
- Cardiac Glycosides: Increased risk when taken with Digoxin.
