Pharmacology
Fluocinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid used largely in dermatology to treat itching and reduce skin inflammation. It's a hydrocortisone derivative that's been synthesized.In comparison to the widely used dexamethasone, fluocinolone acetonide was reported to dramatically potentiate TGF-associated chondrogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem/progenitor cells by boosting collagen type II levels by more than 100 fold.
Neomycin Sulfate is actively transported across the bacterial cell membrane, where it binds to a particular receptor protein on the 30 S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and inhibits protein synthesis by interfering with an initiation complex between messenger RNA (mRNA) and the 30 S subunit.
Dosage & Administration
A tiny amount of cream is lightly applied to the skin up to two or three times per day, and rubbed gently and deeply into the skin. These suggestions are appropriate for youngsters as well as adults, including the elderly.
Contraindications
Rosacea, acne, perioral dermatitis, anogenital pruritis, and napkin eruption are all examples of primary skin infections. Hypersensitivity to neomycin is also known.
Side Effects

Pregnancy & Lactation

Precautions & Warnings

Patients with perforated eardrums should not apply to the external auditory canal. Continuous topical steroid medication for a long time can cause atrophic skin changes.Do not use on the face for long periods of time. Adrenal suppression can result from long-term use or treatment of large areas, especially in infants and toddlers.
